Established in 2009, the Cancer Tissue Bank is a specialized unit within the Biobank that collects, processes, stores, and distributes tissue specimens obtained from patients with cancer for research purposes. Tissue specimens obtained during patient diagnosis and treatment are collected with informed consent and provided to qualified researchers for approved research.
In collaboration with various clinical departments within the hospital, the Cancer Tissue Bank ensures the reliable acquisition of high-quality tissue specimens for research. All biospecimens are managed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and undergo systematic quality control throughout collection, processing, storage, and distribution.
