- Held the symposium commemorating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the SNUH Dementia Brain Bank
- Appointed Professor Won Jae-kyung as the 3rd Director of the Brain Bank
2023
- Held a seminar with invited international brain bank experts (faculty from the University of Pennsylvania in attendance)
2021
- Approved for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's operational support program for cadaver-providing institutions and granted establishment authorization as a cadaver-providing institution for research purposes
- Conducted research projects on dementia brain tissue bank operation and neuropathology of brain autopsy
- Signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Dementia Research Center
- Renewed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Brain Research Institute, Niigata University
2020
- Expanded the foundation for genomic analysis research based on autopsy brain tissue
- Approved for distribution review to deposit human biological materials to the National Biobank of Korea
2019
- Expanded brain tissue distribution and research collaboration
- Held a brain bank symposium (faculty from Newcastle University participating)
- Opened the brain bank registry on the SNUH Dementia Brain Bank website

- Operated a joint conference among the Brain Bank, Department of Neurology, and Department of Radiology
- Produced and distributed brain donation registration cards
- Obtained IRB approval for "Research on Registration Management of Brain Donation Applicants at Seoul National University Hospital"
- Obtained IRB approval for "Storage of a Cadaver (Brain) Resource Bank for Brain Research"

- Appointed Professor Park Sung-hye as the 2nd Director of the Brain Bank
- Selected for the Korea Brain Bank's cooperative brain bank support program
- Selected for the project to establish a neuropathology research foundation and brain autopsy registry
- Established a cooperation framework (MOU) with regional dementia support centers and medical institutions
- Held an international brain bank symposium (Tokyo Metropolitan Geriatric Hospital)

- Selected for the Korea Brain Bank's pilot designated-hospital brain bank program
